Prince Prospero\, a Satanic cultist\, visits the village he rules\, only to come face-to-face with the effects of the disease. Taking three people hostage\, he orders the village burned and locks himself\, his captives\, and his closest friends in his castle while the world rots away outside the palace gates. Join us for an afternoon of remembrance and the uplifting stories of community healing at Pack Memorial Library today. The feature presentation this afternoon: an exclusive screening of Swannanoan Silt. Local filmmakers Isaac King and Tristan Turner created this moving image installation in the aftermath of Helene in the town of Swannanoa\, regarded as one of the hardest hit communities in WNC. This presentation will be paired with Drew Erin Adams’ The Swannanoa River (2023)\, musical accompaniment by Agis Shaw\, and a Q&A session with King and Turner.
