Tropical Storm Helene devastated our mountains on the morning of September 27th, 2024. In honor of those we lost and in memory of what our community suffered, we invite you to the Pack Memorial Library today for a community memory project. Come Hell or High Water seeks to get firsthand accounts of this tragedy from the people who lived it. Project components include a digital memory bank where participants can submit photos, videos, and stories, as well as opportunities for the collection of oral histories of the event. Come lend your story and be a part of local history. If you want to but are unable to join the meeting today, a make-up session will happen on Saturday, February 1st, from 11 am to noon.
