MEMBER LIVING

Creating Nurturing Homes, Fostering Independence

Alternative Family / Member Living:

Our priority is to ensure that individuals receive the support they need to develop essential independent living skills. We work closely with them, both within the home and in the community, to equip them with the necessary tools for self-sufficiency. Our dedicated team assists and educates individuals on a variety of skills, including cooking nutritious meals, maintaining physical fitness, utilizing community resources such as the local library, managing finances, and budgeting effectively.

By placing individuals in nurturing homes, we create opportunities for them to be well-cared for and interact with others on a daily basis. These homes provide a supportive atmosphere where individuals can form meaningful relationships, engage in social activities, and experience the warmth and companionship of a family environment. We prioritize their physical, emotional, and social well-being, ensuring that they have the necessary support to lead fulfilling lives.

Open placements are available, please contact Veronica Rosa for more information.

DAY PROGRAM

Dedicated to Helping Individuals Thrive

Day Program: Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm

Whether in a group or individual setting, we provide support to enhance life skills, social interactions, safety awareness, motor abilities, and education.

With a diverse range of choices, members can explore their interests through various classes. New classes start every eight weeks, allowing members to sign up for activities they enjoy. In addition, we offer additional opportunities to enrich the experience. Members can engage in volunteering, join weekly Bible study sessions, experience The Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP), swim at the YMCA, and enjoy exciting field trips.

At our Enrichment Center, we foster a sense of community and connection. We welcome special guests, including friendly goats, who bring unique perspectives and joy, special events, special bikes, music picnics, games, and life skills training further enhance our program.

COMMUNITY NETWORKING

The Power of Community Integration & Fostering Meaningful Relationships

We actively encourage our members to engage in volunteer opportunities and create connections with others. By participating in community initiatives, we aim to promote inclusivity, empathy, and a sense of belonging.

Volunteering is a powerful way for members to give back, make a positive impact, and develop valuable skills. We facilitate opportunities for our members to volunteer with esteemed organizations such as ABCCM, Charlie’s Angels, Salvation Army, and other non-profit organizations. These partnerships allow individuals to contribute their time and talents towards causes that align with their passions and values.

When individuals engage in volunteer work, they not only support the community but also experience personal growth and fulfillment. They develop a sense of purpose, empathy, and a broader understanding of the world around them. By integrating individuals into the fabric of the community, we encourage social interactions, foster relationships, and create a supportive network that extends beyond the Enrichment Center.

Through these volunteer opportunities, our participants gain practical skills, learn the value of teamwork, and broaden their perspectives. They become active contributors to society, embracing the joy of making a difference in the lives of others.
