If you love free movie screenings in an outdoor setting, come to the Grovemont Park tonight for Cinema on the Square, featuring Dreamworks’ The Wild Robot! A frightful storm causes a Universal Dynamics cargo ship to lose a shipment of ROZZUM robots. However, one robot washes up on the shore of an uninhabited island. As the lone survivor of the storm, “Roz” wakes up when the local animals accidentally reactivate her. After multiple mishaps make her seem less like a monster to the animals, Roz finds her place on the island as a surrogate mother to a young gosling. What follows is a story of found family, sacrifice, and love of the truest form.
