Nick Burrows
NICK’S STORY
Nick Burrows has been actively pursuing his art for over 8 years and has experience capturing both Secular and Christian national touring bands. Nick thrives on photographing local artists in their own unique environment, making sure to capture each moment in all its glory. His portfolio visually captures what makes the Asheville music scene so special – it is, after all, his passion!
Nick’s portrait photographer’s ability to capture the spirit and essence of his subjects is unparalleled – he shows the unique personality and the beauty that comes with each and every person.
For the nature lover, Nick offers annual calendars that capture the beauty of nature throughout Western North Carolina, these are highly coveted and sell out quickly every year! You can check out his work at Maddies on Main in Canton.
As a member of Reach for Independence, Nick’s Innovation services have assisted with his ability to go to music venues and set up his micro-enterprise with area businesses showcasing and restocking his photography. Nick’s connection with the community is a visual telling of his story and of those he crosses paths with during his travels.
Alex (AJ) Suder
Age 28 – Member Since 2014
ALEX’S STORY
Alex (AJ) Suder has been an integral part of the Enrichment Center day program since 2014. He’s always up for a good time and loves to have fun with everybody he meets. He’s got this kind of sassy charisma that commands attention and brightens up any room! Whether it’s cracking jokes, singing along to some of his favorite tunes, or just talking about life, AJ will keep you entertained. But it is not all fun and games to AJ – a job coach with his Innovations services allowed him to secure a job with Advent Health, where he has been succeeding now for the last five years!
During the Covid pandemic, AJ decided to take his sassy energy and channel it into a TikTok channel brimming with positivity. He inspired us during lockdown to be active and happy, reminding us of all the things we had to appreciate in life – big and small! His videos were an escape from reality and really lifted our spirits. AJ’s message of positivity doesn’t stop there – he’s also the assistant coach at North Henderson High School. His passion for sports and his belief that anyone can achieve anything with hard work and dedication makes him a true source of inspiration. AJ motivates not only his team, but all those around him to dream! AJ has made it his mission to bring joy to everyone he meets – so don’t miss out on all the fun!
