Our story follows the widow (Margaret) and daughters (Elinor and Marianne) of Mr. Henry Dashwood as they navigate newfound poverty in 19th century England. The women are forced to abandon their estate when they receive only £500 per year to live on. Most of the inheritance goes to Mr. Dashwood’s eldest son and his greedy wife, Fanny. What follows is a tale of love and loss, entanglements in polite society, and the ever-present question: will sense and sensibility win the day?
