Do you love movies? Interested in having the big-screen experience without the cost of a movie theater? Then come to the Hendersonville Main Branch Library today for Movie Matinee! Today’s feature presentation is Mufasa: The Lion King.
Have you ever wondered what makes a king of the Pride Lands? Kiara, Simba and Nala’s young cub, certainly does. When her parents leave her in the care of Rafiki, the old mandrill tells her the story of Kiara’s grandfather, Mufasa. As an orphaned lion cub, Mufasa wanders the wetlands near Pride Rock, searching for his parents. Were it not for the kindness of a royal lion named Taka, crocodiles would have killed him. The reigning king and queen of Pride Rock begrudgingly take a young Mufasa in, teaching him the skills he needs as a lion of the Pride Lands. But what happens when Mufasa, the pitiful orphaned cub, starts to outshine his brother, Taka?
